Kathy Summers, RN has graciously accepted the role as Administrator for the Central Star Home Health Care branch located in Ontario, Ohio.

Although her healthcare career officially began after graduating with a nursing degree from the University of Rio Grande in 1993 and working in various clinical settings, Kathy has been in the home care business since 2000.

Her passion for serving others led her to pursue a position as a Hospice nurse before working in various roles in the home healthcare field. Her background has made her a perfect fit for her current position. She started her journey as a field nurse where she perfected her clinical skills and enhanced her knowledge of home health. She was shortly thereafter promoted to Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Manager, and Marketing Liaison for various agencies where she fostered the roles essential in her current position with Central Star.

Returning to Ohio to care for her parents and to be closer to her family, Kathy was able to further expand her healthcare skill set by collaborating with a consulting company where she focused on staff education, recruitment and retention as well as accreditation preparedness and policy and procedure development and implementation.

For the last five years Kathy has served as Executive Director of a home health care agency in North Central Ohio after being promoted from Clinical Manager. While in the role of Executive Director she was able to achieve the same business growth Central Star is hoping she will bring to their Ontario location.
